Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

If you do not have health insurance or choose not to use your insurance (self-pay), you have the right to receive a written Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for your health care services when you schedule qualifying services or upon request.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you may be eligible to dispute the charges through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
